The StemJUMP board work hard to organize events, teachers, and finances in order to bring quality workshops and classes to all students. Many are also passionate teachers across a variety of subjects.

President & Co-Founder
Brian Lu
Brian Lu is a senior attending Seven Lakes High School. He is a three-time Nationals Competitor for the Beckendorff Junior High and Seven Lakes High School, with the team(s) winning 3rd, 7th, and 1st respectively. He Also placed 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th in individual events at nationals, accumulating over 50 medals in total over his 4 year career. He is also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts, and is currently also serving as Senior Patrol Leader of his Boy Scouts Troop. He enjoys 3D printing, playing the Cello, and playing video games in his free time.

Jessica Fan
Jessica Fan is a passionate and driven freshman at Phillips Exeter Academy. She was a captain of the Beckendorff Science Olympiad team and has earned four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals at the Science Olympiad Nationals. Outside of science, Jessica thrives in Speech and Debate, having qualified for both the TOC and TFA in 2025. Jessica has a deep love for teaching and enjoys mentoring others, especially when it comes to science and speech & debate. She believes in the power of learning and sharing knowledge. When she’s not competing or mentoring, Jessica enjoys reading, writing, crocheting, and playing tennis with friends.

Vice President of Technology
Eric Zhang
Eric Zhang is a senior at Seven Lakes High School. He is a 5x AIME qualifier and has participated in TMSCA since 5th grade. He currently competes in his High School Math UIL Team and was part of the Number Sense team that won 3rd in the state, and he coaches the BDJH and RAE Math and Science Teams. He has also won countless placings at the Invitational, Regional, State, and National levels in his 5 years of Science Olympiad experience, and he was part of the SLHS Science Olympiad Team that won the 2025 national championship. He is currently a captain of the SLHS Science Olympiad Team and the Senior Vice President of the SLHS chapter of the National Honor Society.

Vice President of Marketing
Emma Zeng
Emma Zeng is a senior at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, where she is involved in a variety of activities. She is a co-captain of the varsity cross-country team and also competes on the varsity swim and track teams. In addition, Emma also actively participates in the dance company, art, yearbook, and Chinese club. Emma’s passion for performance extends to her recognition as a YAGP finalist, and she is a committed coach at her local swim team. With her athletic pursuits, she also spends time volunteering at the Houston Food Bank and supporting the Houston Marathon. Outside of school, Emma enjoys playing the piano, baking, and spending her summers at Camp CAMP.

Debate + Public Speaking Director
Christopher Ou
Christopher Ou is a senior at Seven Lakes High School. He is a USA Biology Olympiad semifinalist and SLHS Biology Olympiad Club president. He has 7 national medals (including two golds), 11 state medals, and 60+ total medals in his five years in Science Olympiad. He was also part of the 2025 Seven Lakes Science Olympiad nationals team that won first place for the first time in Texas history. He coaches MST at Bonnie Holland. In debate, he is a 2x state qualified LD debater with experience coaching novices and beginners. He is also 2025 UIL District Lincoln Douglas champion, Current Events runner up, and is an award winning Scholastic writer. He’s also Lincoln-Douglas captain on the Seven Lakes Speech & Debate Team for 2025-26.

Secretary
Claire Long
Claire Long is a junior at Seven Lakes High School. She was a captain of the Beckendorff Science Olympiad team in 2023-2024, a member of the Seven Lakes High School national winning team in 2024-2025, and a current Seven Lakes High School Science Olympiad junior captain. Over her Science Olympiad career, she has accumulated over 50 medals on all levels of competition, including 4 national medals. She also currently competes for the Seven Lakes Swim Team at both the Junior Varsity and Varsity level. Outside of school, she enjoys swimming, playing viola, taking care of her plants, and studying biology.

Earth Science Director
Evan Huang
Evan Huang is a senior at Seven Lakes High School. He has competed in the Seven Lakes Science Olympiad team for 3 years and was on the National team last year. He has won individual events at Invitational and State level competitions. He currently coaches the RAE Math and Science Team. He runs Cross Country in the Seven Lakes Cross Country team and has completed two marathons since sophomore year.

Biology Director
Hannah Xie
Hannah is a junior at Seven Lakes High School. She was one of the captains of the Beckendorff Junior High's Science Olympiad Team and led them to 3rd place at the National Tournament during the 2023-2024 season. She also placed highly in all her events; 1st in Disease Detectives, 2nd in Anatomy and Physiology, and 5th in Microbe Mission. She was also part of Beckendorff Junior High's A Team during the 2022-2023 season, also placing nationally in multiple events. Hannah plays tennis and piano, draws, debates, and enjoys watching C-Dramas and movies.

Chemistry Director
Karen Wang
Karen Wang is a junior at Seven Lakes High School. She was a captain of the Beckendorff Scioly Team and is currently on the Seven Lakes High School Scioly Team. In her 3 years of competing in Science Olympiad, she has received over 60 medals, including 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze national medals, and was a part of the Division C 2025 national champion team. As a member of the National Math Honor Society, she occasionally enjoys doing math, and made the AMC8 honor roll in her 7th and 8th grade years. She is also her school’s National Honor Society junior secretary and a junior lieutenant on her dance team. Outside of school, she enjoys crocheting and playing tennis with friends.

Physics Director
Carter Feng
Carter Feng is a sophomore at Seven Lakes High School. He joined BDJH Scioly in 7th grade and has won multiple medals in both build events and study events. In addition to Science Olympiad, Carter is also an accomplished musician. In 2022-2023, Carter ranked second in the TMEA Region 23 for junior high cellists. He also excels at math and got the AMC 8 Honor Roll. In his free time, he likes to play video games and do origami.
